SYROS TRAILS: ‘GASTRONOMY’

The gastronomy of Syros followed  a journey through time, a journey of flavors and aromas from all parts of Greece. From the refugees of Chios and Asia Minor who  first introduced to the Syrians the Turkish delights and sweets of the spoon,  the Smyrnaeans who brought with them the spices of the East and the  Capuchin monks with the prickly pears.
